JustSystems' popular ATOK software for Japanese input is going SAS (software as service). Starting this month, ATOK for Windows is available as a JPY300/month service, with access to ATOK upgrades (input system, dictionaries, etc.) as they come out. JustSystems says it hopes the new service will entice those PC users who have passed on ATOK so far and rely instead on their OS's bundled input system.
